Today ism

Some posts feel like toadyism but this feels necessary; an acknowledgement that something has affected enough of New Zealand to have affected me.

Today was the memorial service for the twenty nine miners who lost their lives at Pike River. My thoughts are with their families.

I just feel so much for those people Rachel. It is such a small community that it is going to hit everyone, families more than anyone but everyone nevertheless.

They had five agonising days of something-almost-hope, Cat, and then...unimaginable. Feel so sad for them all.

I can't even begin to imagine what the families are going through.

I think my favourite country has suffered enough this year.

Events are testing resillience, Donna. It's beyond words really.
